How do you cope with not being able to find parts for your projects or not able to do anything let alone drive them? I need a cab and core for mine and around here, Forget it. Either people are really holding on to their trucks or they're picked clean as soon as they hit a yard. Everything else, I can get aftermarket but those two are breaking this project into a parts truck fast...

 

I was lucky and bought a parts truck the same time I bought the project truck both off Craig's List.

Other parts I needed that the parts truck did not have I put a WTB (want to buy) add on here.
Also I have a thread going about my project and I "drop hints" what I am looking for and other members have sent me PM's what they have for sale.


I think a lot has to do with what you are working on year/model and the parts needed, mine is 81/F100.

edit: My thread is in the 80-87 truck area. I did not know there was this area till I went looking over the site and "tripped" on it.
So if there is an area for your year project may want to start a project thread there as more people working on the same year trucks would be there than here.
