Took the truck for Linex yesterday and was pleasantly surprised to see the new Bak Revolver X2 sitting by the front door. It was an easy 45 minute install. I have always been more of a roll up tonneau guy after having a few retractables. My last few roll ups have been Access brand covers so I will see how this one holds up in comparison. This one definitely looks better with the flush profile. Ripples along the edge supposedly disappear after some time in the sun. Seems well made. Time will tell.

 

I love the look of a freshly lined bed. Looks awesome!


I noticed they didnt remove your bed bolts, was this your choice? The guy i talked to at the linex dealer made it sound like it was standard operating procedure to remove them.

The installer told me that they were unable to obtain the proper tool from Ford to remove them yet since it was so new? Maybe he was just feeding me a line, but they are the biggest volume Linex dealer in the country so I assume it was legit. They told me it didn't matter unless the bed ever needed removed. Even then, they said it would just take a little more time. I opted to proceed.

 

Dang thanks for the heads up. After some googling found a thread from this site saying the same thing, for everyone else here is the right tool for the job.
