What is the best way to sound deaden / insulate the firewall under the dash, floor, etc? Lizard Skin, Por 15, Radiant Barrier or some thing else.

What do you guys think?

 

You can buy the original firewall insulation, or a more plastic version, from many different suppliers.

 

I have used Dynamat in two of my recent car projects with amazing results. I haven't tried any of the other brands so I can't comment on them. I will use it once again on my current '58 F-100 build.

I also used the insulated firewall cover from Carpenter's and carpeted the floor. Teddy is pretty quite upto 60-65 above that and the wind noise starts getting to me, I cruise about 65. I,m sure a less aggressive tire would be quieter also.
