1996 f350 fuse 17 grounded no power
Ok I just bought a 1996 Ford F-350 crew cab long bed single wheel 2wd.
Ok I have read a lot of the threads here but none of them seem to have the problem I have. Fuse 17,18 and 9 are grounded no power good ground.
My symptoms are of light flashing abs light on and no shift out of first and no speedometer. I replaced the vss no change. I've read ok here it is suppose to have between 800 and 3,500 ohms or resistance. The metal one in the truck is ol new one shows ol vss is a spare diff from a wrecked 96 f250 diesel shows ol vss in my old 93 idi turbo 5speed shows ol also.
Where do these fuses get their power. I am going to buy a new ignition slide today maybe it is bad I'm lost any help will be really appreciated.
Also I'm using a snap on digital multimeter and a power probe for diagnostics.

Ok bought a new ignition starter switch. Same thing. If the switch is installed on the collume the wire in question is the gray wire with yellow stripe it is closest to the steering collume. This wire appears to run to the inside fuse block. It powers fuse 18 and 15. I have .3 ohms of resistance with a multimeter. If I supply power to this wire the abs light goes off, speedometer and odometer both come on. Also fuse 6 & 7 in the fuse panel under the hood also lack power.

Ok so update. Couldn't find anything online. I ohmed the switch only plug that connected to the a3 was a4 yellow wire (battery on fords) I spent about an hour disassembling the wiring harness to find out that the wire eventually goes to the fuse box under the hood. Fuse 10 20amp Maxie that was missing installed a fuse reassembled everything speedometer and odometer both work correctly. Abs light and brake light are off and have stayed off. Truck shifts a little hard and od light is still flashing.
