Mystery Hose

Hello everyone. I'm restoring a 1995 F250 4x4 automatic e4od. I just installed a new radiator and I'm attempting to connect all of the hoses. Well, on the return heater hose (not the one connected to the water pump) there is a tee. From the tee, one end connects to the heater core, one connects to a place on the block, but the other end is just hanging. I can't figure out what it connects to. I'm almost tempted to cap it off, but not sure if it would cause a problem or not. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, I think I've got everything connected to all of the ports on the radiator. On top, the small port connects to degas bottle, large port connects to water pump. On bottom, the two small ports connect to the inlet and outlet from the transmission, and the large port connects to the bottom of the water pump.

I wonder if I need some kind of splitter that merges "the mystery hose" and the primary return line at the bottom of the radiator?

Also, my overflow/degas tank only has one connection. I connected that port to the small inlet on the top of the radiator. Should I have an overflow/degas tank with 2 ports? One of which would connect to "The mystery hose" from the heater core tee?

You could do away with it.
I don't think the aftermarket radiators have the port for it.
All it does is helps warm the trans fluid faster.

Soooo, it looks like that line IS supposed to connect the radiator after all, but the new radiator does not have a port for this hose. Hmmmm???
