C 6 shifter

I'm looking for a good shifter for my C 6. This is a low budget build I was wondering if Lokar is a decent shifter for the price? I also looked at American Shifter Company. Both are in the price range I can afford. Any ideas on a good shifter? Thanks

I like the Lokar. It is however a top mount that will require reshaping the tunnel cover and enlarging an area for the shift lever movement. The quality and instructions are top notch.

Ok thanks. They are one of the few that have a shifter that looks like it belongs in a truck

That looks nice. That's the look I want. Where did you find a double bend? All I can find is straight.

Lokar is a good, well made product. I used it (23") with my 4R70W.

Not cheap but worth the money.

I also went with the same type of Lokar shifter for my C4. It was easy to install and looks great in the truck.

I've always adapted the stock 3-spd column shifter to work the linkage. Did it on my '51 and on my '54. Works well - gotta 'count' the detents as there is no shift indicator, but works good, lasts a long time and keeps the center of the floor clear...
