Nice! Have a safe trip.

I bet you'll get a lot of thumbs up and waves on your trip.

OK, got around to taking some pictures. Also, spent about 10 minutes hitting it with a 3M bristle disk to see what I had to work with. With a cloud of dust (seriously) and a hearty hi o'silver I let the grinder fly. The surface rust blew off as fast as I could move the grinder. 80 grit disk... I've got some small patches to do but it's 99% straight and solid. The bed supports are bent down on the passenger side so the box is a little lower on that side. I'll replace those braces as it's going to be easier to get the new ones than to try and make these straight, plus the rear one is torn. Nice heater, will have to clean that up a tad. Tank looks awesome, I'll give that a once over and seal it. So far, very happy with the truck. You can see before and after sanding in the pics...

looking good. The more I see that sun visor the more I like it and the more I want one. Does it have a set of coil springs in the rear? Your old truck reminds me a lot of what I started with. With a little time and elbow grease you'll have her looking good.

yup, rear coils... trying to decide which way I want to go with the whole truck. I love stock but the visor has me leaning to a mild 50's custom... flatty, dropped axle etc...
