2006 Expedition 5.4 showing code P0352
Yesterday my Expedition's check engine light comes on and starts missing.
Scan shows P0352.
Been searching and reading to see that it is cylinder #2 (second from front on passenger side) ignition coil circuit.
Guessing first thing to look at is the coil.
Checked wiring over yesterday nothing obvious.
Planning to head to the garage and swap coil with #1 cylinder and see if code changes.
If so head to local parts store open on Labor Day and get a coil and probably a plug for that cylinder.
Previous owner said that coils and plugs had been replaced prior to my purchase just about 1 year and 30 thousand miles ago.
About 10-15 thousand miles ago had a mis fire in #3 cylinder.
I swappped #3 for #2 coil and showed same.
Replaced #3 plug and all has been good since.
Figure I better bite the bullet and just replace all the plugs and all the coils.
But for today, guessing to do the swap, if code changes accordingly, just one coil or one coil one plug to get me to work and back next few days while I order sets of coils and plug.
Saw a ton of threads that had ailments going along with this P0352 code, but seemed like everything pointed to making sure coil was good first.
Just wondering if those more experienced and knowledgeable than myself agree with my plan.
If not what would be better?
As always...BIG THANKS for the help and wisdom
Oh yeh, misfire and code started as we pulled out of our day on Silver Lake Sand Dunes. We gave the 75 Bronco a day off and aired down the Expediton's tires.

#2
#3
When I tried to swap coil from #2 to #1 to verify coil was issue...
no more code, no more miss.
This coil that I moved to #1 was originally #3 when I purchased the vehicle.
I replaced that spark plug a while ago after getting #3 mis-fire code.
Thinking that it has been worked harder than the rest.
I planned to see a code for #1 after switching these two around.
When I didn't I began wondering if it was poor connection.
It has ran good now.
Thinking that I am going to order a whole set of 8 plugs and 8 coils.
Hoping truck will keep running good until they arrive.
AND hoping that will keep it happy for a while again.
I will take a look at the primary wire too before getting too carried away.
Thanks for that pdqford.
