Name and Part Number Help

I am looking for the proper name and part number for the 1-1/2" hex x 3/4" square socket adapter for removing the inner lug on 1-1/2 ton rear axle duals. I'll post a want ad once I have the info. Thanks. I did not know such a thing existed until I helped remove wheels from a friend's 1935 and an old pro showed up with the tool.

Name and Part Number Help

This is the combination socket I use. Bought it at the local Napa store. The outer portion of the socket fits the large outer lug nut as well as the front lug nuts and the inner 3/4'" square hole is for the inner studs/lugs.

Thanks for posting the pictures. I found it on-line. Does it have 3/4" drive at the opposite end?

3/4" drive. I use a 3/4" to 1/2" drive adapter when I use an air gun.

I think the original tool that came with the truck worked this way too. Here is one from a 1945 truck:

After looking at the J part in the picture. It looks like one end is for the hex nut and the other end is for the square nut on the stud.

Brian, how does that tool work?
Tacoma, the ebay listing is indeed "J". The seller should post the two sizes for people to be sure..
Here are pictures of the tool(s) I received with the fire engine. I need about a 4' pipe for the rod to get enough leverage to remove the nuts. Guess I should just do that and save some money.
Does anyone know the tightening torque specs?

1-1/2" hex for the lug nuts

13/16" square end for the Budd inner lugs

J does have the square socket in the end opposite the hex end. I have the tools for my '49 F4 and it is the same wrench. The '49 tools have a longer straight handle for the wheel nut socket and a separate tire iron that is double ended. IIRC the wheel nuts are torqued at 450 ft. lbs.

Mark, Stu McMillan gave 400-500 in a 2008 thread I found via internet search. So I need a 4' pipe extension and stand on it just inboard of the 3' point with my 160 pounds.
Thanks to everyone for your help.

Very good! You will have to support the outboard end of the wrench so that the force passes through its pivot point.

the way it works is the inner tube has a 13/16 socket. it holes the 13/16 (bottle thats what my dad called it)square nut. while the exterior one is 1 1/2 inch and spins around it. it prevents the bottle from releasing before the nut. and acts as a multiplier for less effort. often when you remove the outter tire the whole nut and bottle comes together, and you would have to torch it off. hope it sounds right.

The older gentleman who had the 1-1/2" hex by 13/16" square socket adapter mentioned the tool. Thanks for the info; I found the product info and instructions at KenTool.com: Power Wrench : Power Wrench Sets. The knowledge and helpfulness on FTE is just amazing.

I just welded two lug nuts together and turn a 3/4" drive 1 1/2" socket around backwards and drive it with another 1 1/2" socket in my impact.
