Stock Axle safety note

I was installing my shocks and decided to check the axle u-bolts. I had heard to check them for tightness on here before.
Well, two bolts were only finger tight
Just about every bolt needed some tightening. So be sure to check them out on a regular basis.

On another note. If you remove your shock mount bolts as you are cleaning your frame. Put them on before you put all the sheet metal on.
It would have been so much easier before I had everything on. Oh, well I got them on and the shocks installed. Now I need to find time to go for a drive.

I found the same thing on my drive shaft u joint nut's , the torque is only 14 to 17 Ft lbs. to begin with anyway (as to not crush the needle bearings), so I wasn't to surprised to find them finger tight.
