2005 f150 heavy duty package trailer wiring

I have a 2005 f150 with the heavy duty payload package. It has a reciever hitch and transmission cooler but it only has a 4 blade connector in the rear for the trailer lighting. I need the 7 blade connector and a trailer brake controller. What parts can a buy to do this with out splicing into my wire harness? I was told that Motorcraft made plug and play parts but do not know the numbers

I believe this is what you are after, but you also need a trailer brake controller. In the glove box you should have a pigtail to plug into the controller and the wiring harness under the dash

First welcome to the forum.
You should be able to get everything you need here Trailer Hitches & Vehicle Accessories (800)298-8924

The above is showing a T connector that plugs in to the trucks rear wiring harness.
I do not know if the your truck with HD payload package will have a trailer brake & charge wires run to the rear or not.
Also don't know if it would have the under dash plug in for the brake controller. Maybe check the owners manual to see what it has for trailer brake controller setup and go from there.

If the truck does not have a setup to plug in the controller and wires run to the rear then you will need to run a wire from it to the rear trailer light plug.

Again you can get everything needed at Etrailer - brake controller, pig tail for controller if truck has plug but no pig tail, light T connector, truck to trailer plug and wire if needed.

I have use Etrailer for a brake controller and a few other things and were great to work with.
