My first thought was IPR O rings but was it running really rough? Might be UVCH, pins may be burnt.

Seems silly, but do you have fuel? How does your filter look? What is your oil level like?

Hard start? Only stays running if you have your foot on the throttle?

Do you have a chip?

Jarrett yes i have fuel , i did put some on the way home. It ran fine . No i not been able to check out the fuel filter. I have only had this truck about a month or so. I don't think that it has a chip .but then again I haven't looked. I am at work now i will be able to look at everything better when I get home tonight.

When my fuel pump went out it started running very rough. Eventually within a mile of the first symptom truck gradually slowed to a stop an quit. I once had a OBS that had the pump go bad. It ran rough but never quit; I drove it very slowly home from about 5 miles away. So I'm thinking these pumps can go bad but sometimes the engine will run enough to get you somewhere and sometimes they just stop running.
