WANTED: ball/arm rod from throttle linkage
The short rod with ball end, designed to pop into the accelerator pedal, has gone missing from our linkage. Seems the repro houses do not sell this part alone, only the entire linkage assembly, which we do not need. If anyone has a line on this part (circled in the photos), please let me know - thanks.

Thank you, ND - that was my suspicion. I'd gladly purchase a repro linkage assembly, but it seems that most are engineered for a left-hand throttle linkage, and ours activates from the right-side. Any chance there was a right-hand variant?
If not, I'm hoping someone out there has a remnant piece they aren't using or is willing to part with.

Since your location says CA .. where was your RHD truck sold new?
Also be aware that there were THREE different types for 1956 F100 in the US, as it depended on engine size, with or without Ford-O-Matic.
You failed to mention the year, series of the truck or engine size. I looked at your "About Me" profile to discover it's a 1956 F100.

I see I created some confusion with my last post - I did not mean to imply 'right-hand drive', I meant to convey that our assembly linkage, unlike the standard repro units available out there, actuates the throttle lever on the right-side of the carburetor, not the left. We have a '56 F-100, Custom Cab, with 3-speed manual trans. I will do some research on the part numbers you've provided, ND (I can't bring myself to spell out 'dummy', as you're anything but).
56panelford, if you are willing to part with yours for a reasonable price, that would be great - just let me know.
Thanks all for the help!

Yeah, I tried to create a gallery, but somehow it didn't 'take'. Here are a few photos that convey how we finished this one. The truck was used to haul all of the building materials that built our family's house in the 70s and 80s...Dad had it hooked to a WWII-era flatbed bomb trailer (seriously!) that we loaded up with brick, tile and everything else we ever hauled to the property.
Suffice to say the truck has seen it's share of work, but to my knowledge still has the original engine and trans. My Dad has since passed, so hopefully our restoration did it justice. I was a bit of a stickler about keeping it original, save for 2 things: a color change (Mom just couldn't bring herself to redo the 'Meadowmist Green' scheme, so we went with '56 Ford Colonial White), and upgraded instruments (solid state units from Classic Instruments). Had some correct-era plates stamped for us by Sean at restoreatag. Hope you like it
