What's your thoughts?

Not often I ask for opinions. Although, I tend to give them unsolicited. But, in this instance, I think it better to ask than to not.

What's your thoughts?

Just want to make sure its a reasonable deal. These things go up and down more often than a "friendly person" at mardi gras.

I'd say that is a fair deal...looks like a very nice truck. I'd put it through a serious inspection prior to committing, but if it was maintained as it appears to be, it is a fair price.

Looks like a well maintained truck and a fair deal.

Thanks guys.

I will see it tomorrow and take my IDS and see what's up. Always looking to increase the fleet as my wife says. I have not seen any other vehicle but ours (99.5-03 7.3L) where the prices have such a range, $6,000 - $20,000!

I looked at a 6.0 that the guy said was Bulletproofed. After a run on the Scantool he was misleading...... misrepresenting...... okay he was flat out lying. The condition was Very Clean 126k miles. Although four injectors showed bad right off the bat and the FICM was boarder line, the Degass bottle looked like a cloud (if it was flushed they didn't do a very good job!). I'm too old to do that stuff in my driveway at 100*.

It might be bulletproofed (Studs Only) but it needed $2,000 - $5,000 work!

Thanks again for the self-check!

Hate to resurrect this as its not pertinent to the forum. But....

Unfortunately I did not get it. He had a deposit and said the guy would be back tomorrow.

But, more importantly, this guy has restored my faith in humanity.

This gentlemen (god bless him) had EVERY receipt for EVERY part, shop receipts, Carfax Report, oil changes, transmission service, even differential service, and others for the 9 years. He had it in a 3" binder more than half full.

Not a drop of oil in the valley, or anywhere else you would look for it. When I remarked on how clean it was He said: "my friend, I've got to tell you, it does use a quart of oil every 2,000 miles or so. But, I check it every few days to make sure its full".

He showed me little dings no one would have even seen nor looked for.

The Engine was sound.

So, at least there is one truly honest human being left selling vehicles.

The body and interior were what you would expect with a little wear. But, I've seen and own much worse. It was in good condition.

I said: would you consider $13k right now, cash, $100 bills ($1000.00 more than it was listed for)? He said: I told you I already had $100 deposit". What a great human being!

Yep in this day and age a mans/womens word is worth about as much as presidential seat. It is really refreshing to hear that there are folks still around that mean what they say and say what they mean. This political correctness has everybody tip toeing around and skirting the edges of truth.

I also think it says a lot about you. You my friend recognize the value of truth and respect it enough to throw props out about a stranger that is actually shooting straight with you... Remember when that was the norm?

God help us!
