1951 Ford Synchro Silent 4 speed transmission 1952

No affiliation with seller, but here's a synchro 4sp from an F6

Looks like a fair deal, you should buy it.
Wonder if the truck has a 254 or 239 in it? You should see if the whole truck is available....

It is. The first T98's were cast to mate to the flathead, and were mostly found in F6's behind the 254 I6.

Yeah! Another part for the tonner!. That's what I had in my '53 f350 flareside. What a beautiful tranny after years with the crash box. I still miss that transmission.

$250 is a fair deal? Dang i sold the two i had over the summer for $150 a piece. At some point ill get the value of these parts right.

I would pay $250 for a 48-52 synchro-silent (T98) if the rear mount is not broken. I would not pay that for a 1953 and later trans.

I had to repair the rear mount on the T98 I rebuilt for my '49 F4. Seems like it is a weakness with these transmissions.
