Hi guys this is my first diesel at first it was running but i would have to spray starting fluid every time i turned it on. Then one morning it just stoped now it just cranks i changed the fuel pump the cam sensor some people tell me its my HPOP and other tell me its my glow plugs. 95 f350 7.3 turbo diesel

does the tach move when cranking?
Any smoke from tail pipe?


mine took a while to prime when I changed out my pump, can take 5 minutes cranking, just let the starter rest a bit between cranks or your starter will be gone

 

We cranked it for a while and no budge and blows a little smoke has a stong crank but have no idea what it could be

 

what temp is it outside?


What fuel pressure are you reading? tire gauge on Schrader valve works well for this

 

The temp outside is about 90 and and dont know about the pressure have to check it out i know it has some pressure. How would i be able to check it ?

My 97 did that the other day, I never used starting fluid but I found out it was a blown 30 amp fuse. I went ahead and unplugged my fuel bowl heater and now she fired right up and doesn't stall on me anymore.
