Rear bench seat question

I have a 1974 F250 Supercab. It has factory rear jump seats. I found a rear bench seat online for sale out of a 79. I was wondering if it would bolt right in or if I would need to do fab work. Any help is appreciated!

I wouldn't think a bench in the back would leave any room for peoples legs. They are the same seat as the front seat just different mounting brackets. Grab a tape measure n go have a look. I'm not the Supercab expert but my crew cab didn't have a lot of room when the original bench was in there

I'm a young man. I dont have kids or anything. I would just rather have the small rear bench than jumpers. I know some came with it factory but mine didn't. I just don't know if it would bolt right in or not. I don't have measurements of the rear bench to compare.

Yes. The mounts are there for both set ups. The only thing I'm not sure about is the latch on the passenger side that restrains the back. You might have to drill some holes to install.

IIRC none of the supercabs that came from the factory with jump seats had the latch in them!! But that's very simple to install.

He will have to ship it to me. He asked $100 plus shipping. Not sure if that's a great deal. I know I could probably get it cheaper at a scrap yard but the ones around here don't have old trucks and cars in them.

The front bench seat is not the same as the rear bench seat. As long as the rear bench seat is from a 78/79 SC you should be ok to swap it out. Make sure you are getting the mount brackets for the seat too.

I have a rear seat in good shape (its green) with all most all the hardware that I took off a 78 SC that I had intended to do the same thing you are talking about doing. It is now just taking up a lot of space in my garage. If you will pay the shipping from MN I could send it to you (Its really big and heavy). PM me and I can send you pictures if your interested.

Rear bench was an option in supercabs from the factory. They ARE NOT the same as the front bench AT ALL.

The mounts are there either way... I like the rear bench myself, it's actually somewhat comfortable if the trip isn't too long.

Yeah. I know they're not the same. They are Much different thank the front bench. Mine came with front buckets apparently. I haven't heard of them coming with that with the factory so I guess the guy who bought it had the dealer install them.
