1960 Ford f100 Bed Removal
I can't thank you enough for the help you guys have thrown my way. Thank you.
My next task is to remove the bed and drop it off to a restoration garage and have them sandblast the bed and have then throw on a coat of primer. So, to save a little money, I need to loosen the bed and have them pull it off. Can any of of you gents give me a little Cliff Notes version of how to do it correctly? The truck is untouched since 1960. I'm going to drive it to the sandblasting place and they will tie on to the bed hooks and pull it off. I'm hoping to maybe spend a couple hours or so with 4 buddies with a few cold ones and then fork lift it off the truck.
I've googled and you tubed everything and it seems a bit too easy. Any of you gents with a little more experience can you help a new guy out?
I'm hoping to get the truck ready for the Lone star Nationals for next April. I"m not talking show quality but daily driver type truck. My Dad was a working man. He didn't drink wine but enjoyed a cold beer type of guy. My wife is warming up to the truck, but she still hasn't seen the light.
Thank you so much in advance,
TexasDude
