stepside bed dissassembly

Anyone ever remove a bedside from a stepside ranger bed... I need to know how to dissassemble one...

If you mean the side body panel for the bed... they are spot welded, they make a special drill bit for the job.

I know how steel bedsides are attached to regular bed trucks... However a stepside has fiberglass bed sides.... they need to be mechanicallly fastened with nuts and bolts or something....


Anyone????

Sorry, didn't notice the stepside. I would bet there glued but I'm not a bodyshop guy.

Remove the taillights to access a bolt, remove the sidestep cover to find 2 bolts, theres one behind the bumper. Remove the top bed rail to get the bolts under that. Last thing to do is remove screws hold the gas tank filler tube to the fender. Hope this helps.
