More in the bushes...

I was out running the farm roads and noticed a local truck had moved. This truck was out running a few years back, I noticed it got moved to the edge of the field near the road. Hope it is not scheduled for the scrapper. Wish I could save them all.

Keeps water out of the top seal on the hoist for now. I need to make a more permanent part.

Or easier yet... I'll send you a beat up galvanized bucket, then you're done! Your truck has a very nice (over-used word these days) Patina. Forgive me if I copy that belt line pinstripe on my 2 ton.....

How wide is the original pin stripe? It looks like 1/4".

This one looks thinner on the door:

Was there always a pin stripe? I don't think I see any on my fleet. Most of mine are pretty rough though....

pin striping

Yes, there has always been part of the paint scheme. Ford offered a handful of colors for the striping on trucks. Looking through my photos from the Archives it seems that all trucks up to semis had the paintwork except military vehicles. I would have to measure mine to see what the width is. The photos above seem to vary but on the trucks I have owned they have been closer to the 1/4"

What is the gem under the tarp? Reminds me of a 46 that I had that color.

I don't remember seeing pin stripes on a cab later than '41. Were any of them pin striped later?

The blue truck is a '40 like your 41. 1940 Ford Flathead V8 truck

About the 2 pinstripe pics: the green pickup has pinstripes that were sprayed on over masking tape and other masking. The blue truck has brush painted stripes. One person painted the cab and another person painted the door which would explain the different size brush strokes. I would like to have a pro brush on the stripes.
