EOT/ECT delta issue

EOT/ECT delta issue
So I had my oil cooler replaced @ 89k miles. Now I am at 136k miles. Oil coolers don't go out that fast do they? I had one from Ford installed, what I don't understand.....is my ECT/EOT delta is anywhere from 12* to 22*. The fan clutch is ALWAYS on. I checked coolant levels, I don't have oil in coolant, coolant in oil. I don't understand. My coolant level doesn't move. However I can be just moping along and my EOT/ECT while UNLADEN is 15*. I have my EGR deleted. But that shouldn't cause THAT big of a problem. Any suggestions guys?

If you are using Ford Gold coolant, and haven't changed it in awhile, and you don't have a coolant filter, you may need a new cooler again.
Most people here do the following when the delta reaches where you are at.
Flush with VC-9
Change oil cooler
Install bypass coolant filter
Change coolant to ELC
Check/change coolant regularly
People who do this rarely have problems afterward.

Both posts above are right on the mark.
Yes, your oil cooler can be clogged again. It all depends on how well the coolant system was flushed during the previous cooler swap.
I did what ThorsHammer posted and followed to instructions in the tech folder for flushing out the coolant system. But like posted above it would be good to know the actual temp readings as well to verify the sensors are operating correctly as well as the thermostat.

Testing has to be done unloaded truck only to get rid of any load inconsistency one truck to another
But when pulling the 15* kinda goes out the window BUT you can watch and see if the EOT is droping say after a Grade or when stoped at a Light
With a Loaded truck you will look at the ability to cool oil and not go by a Dead set Tolerance of 15*
If EOT goes High and Always REMAINS High ( Such as stopped or descending a grade)it is plugged the Ability is no longer there

If you data log, ECT, EOT, RPM, & speed we can graph it up and get a better understanding.
