knocking noise when clutch peddle is pressed in

I need help I got a 1990 f250 with a 5.8.
I just put a clutch and throw out bearing in it yesterday and it knocks when I press the clutch pedal in. Its a slight knock when pressed all the way down and really loud half way pushed. It goes away while the clutch is engaged.
I'm hoping its a throw out bearing but I'm not sure any help would be great
