Rubber/Vinyl flooring for an '88? Does it exist?

I don't like carpet in trucks. The way I work them, it always gets nasty and stays that way. I'd much prefer the rubber/vinyl/work truck flooring, if I could find it. The only place I've seen such a product offered for my '88 was LMC, and I've heard/seen too many PITA stories to even consider it. Can it be found anywhere else?

Stockinteriors.com has it more than likely.

The carpet from an extended cab truck can be cut to go up the back wall of a single cab truck in place of the carpet that's usually on the back wall. Having a one piece of rubber running from the rear window all the way to the firewall helps keep junk behind the seat from getting lost and keeps whatever dirt that gets behind the seat from getting under the carpet.

Thanks for the link FordxFour, but I can't find my truck on there? It doesn't appear as though they have any options for a regular cab, 5 speed, manual 4x4 1987-1996 truck.

f100, I'll check out stockinteriors. Thanks. Edit: I recognize the stockinteriors.com website. I was just reading yesterday about a member who was having a problem with their product. I kind of got the impression that they were like LMC Truck in this regard? Or have you had a positive experience with them?

Edit Number 2: It would appear as though stockinteriors.com doesn't have an option for an '87-'96 regular cab, manual transmission, manual 4x4 either. What gives? Am I misunderstanding how they classify these products?

Give them a call and tell them what you want. I'm thinking that it's probably a lack of description on the web page. They are very nice folks.

Good Luck!

I've used stock interiors a couple of times with no problems. I think lmc drop ships from them. Regardless, no problems from what I ordered.

Russell,

I have an '87 5 speed 4x4 regular cab.
The LMC mat was not even close.

I'm subscribing to see how this turns out.

I put stainless snaps (marine canvas store) to hold my floor mats in place on the vinyl floor.

Anything with a "molded fit" isn't going to come close with the way my floor fits the truck.

Ford did offer a floor mat for your truck, but the parts catalog doesn't say if it's rubber or vinyl.

There are different types: 2WD with A/T; 4WD with A/T; with M/T.

Ford also offered accessory full width front vinyl floor mats in colors that were placed over the carpet.

All these mats are probably obsolete, but there may be some available NOS

good catch Bill. the "work truck" floor covering was indeed made out of rubber, not vinyl.

Ever thought about making your own? My plan was to just find a piece big enough to cover the entire floor then cut to fit. Might take a bit of time to do, bit I know it will fit and be a quality material. Best part would be if it wears out, there would be a template to make another.
