Thanks! That's good info. The stock speakers do seem to be junk.

Im not an audiophile by any stretch, and never realized how bad they were exactly until I replaced them. They were replaced because they kept busting and I grew tired of bringing it in to be replaced under warranty with the same ole same. When I first heard turned the radio on after the swap I was blown away by the crispness and clarity. I highly recommend this.

Maybe I'm lucky, but my '13 F150 has 50% added all around (over the factory in the rear making it something like 30-40%), my wife's Chrysler 200 has 50% front and 35% rear, and my '95 has 35% front, and 20% rears with a 20% brow, and I've never had issues with it, and I've been all over Iowa with all of the vehicles in the past 5 years.

One of the annoyances for me was the door detents not having a "middle" stop location. The door was either not opened enough to fit out of, or into the car next door. Luckily, there is a company that takes new OEM ones and machines in a new detent for $90 bucks. Money well spent IMO: Door Detent 3.0 by northlight labs | Now F-150 Doors Open Just Right

EDIT: looks like you have a Screw, for all 4 doors, a bit more $

Anyways, if you end up getting them, the passenger side is a bear to install. I think there were some updated instructions about removing the fuse box from the passenger side kick panel that came out after I had installed. If you end up getting the kit and have questions feel free to shoot me a PM.

That is a good idea! I may have to get a set for my Red Beast. I've kinda gotten used to it and I mainly park the truck towards the back of any parking lot anyway just so I don't have to worry about anyone else opening their doors into me. But I still agree Ford should have done this better
