Any body else with this problem with a 2007 F-150? When it is cold out #7 misfires until engine warms up. It does give check engine light. Replaced plugs about 7000 miles ago and it fixed the problem for a while - now it's back.

 

most common failure of miss fire is the COP ( coil on plug)... that being said, I just completed repairs on a "miss fire" that has been on and off for 3 years.. Ended up washing all electrical plugs on the coils and fuel injectors with contact cleaner.. stretching out a couple of the springs inside the coil boots so they extend to the end of the boot.... and cleaning all injectors... Remember, if you changed the plug and "that fixed it for a while".. you pulled the coil, removed the electrical contactor, and reinstalled both... that could have been the "short term fix", and not the sparkplug.

 

This truck is a replacement for my 1976 300 inch 6. My knowledge of these newer engines is non-existent. In light of your response I must wait for cold weather again to find the result. I do appreciate your input.
