I have a 1999 f350 with the v10, 4" lift and 35" tires. Well I used it to haul for the 1st time last weekend and it didn't do what I thought it would. It has 373 gears and I was thinking about going to 430. Does that take the same carrier?

 

The rear axle uses the same carrier no matter what. The front has a split at 3.73. use a thick gear and you can use the carrier you have

If your going to keep 35's on the truck go 4.56

 

Yes I'm gonna stay with the 35s. And I'm hauling an 11,000 pound truck on a gooseneck behind me.

 

Depending on how regularly you going to be towing that much weight you may even consider 4.88's especially with the less powerful 99 motor without the pi heads
