Talking Newb here with a few questions.

Hey guys! Im going to look at a 66 F250 Camper Special 2wd, 352 with a 4 speed this coming Wednesday. I heard i should look at the cab mounts. From what the guy told me it has a solid bed and it runs and drives.I noticed the dent in the fender and the piece of molding missing. I looked at prices for moulding and its crazy. What else should I look for? He wants 1800 at the lowest. I included the only picture he sent me. Thanks guys! Looking foward to chatting with you all!

Welcome aboard, the side cowl molding, I' m sure a member can find / has a piece for you to keep from spending big bucks on a new piece that wouldn't blend in with the rest of the molding. Also check lower portion of radiator supports area are always and look under the complete bottom of the cab and bed area. I didn't pay attention to where your located, each region shows signs of rust differently so these are the basic area' of concern in my opinion. Again welcome.

Welcome to the site and nice looking truck there. Let us know how you make out. NJ isnt quite as bad as up here in New England but you all get some snow down there which means salt , rust may be an issue in the cab mounts, lower fenders, and the rad support near where it mounts.

Good luck and when you buy it, post pics! We love pics!

If you end up getting the truck I think I have that molding on my parts cab. Post back if you do and I'll go out and check.

Hey There is a 65 CS with the Y block and manual trans for sale near my brothers house .Does anyone know how much The towing capacity is for such a truck? I have tried to search, but no luck. My flat bed weighs 2k pounds and has electric brakes. I just want to know how heavy a vehicle this truck would be able to tow.
Not sure where to post this, but this thread is active now, so here I am.
thank you.

I didnt pick up the truck. Waaay to much rot in all the worst spots. Cab mounts, rad support, crossmember, hood, inner fenders. They were all toast. It fired right up, but too much work for me right now. The search continues! If anyone knows of anything in central nj or pa let me know. Early to late 60s truck. Model doesnt matter. Just trying to find some options. Thanks for the help guys!
