Does anybody know what kind of wood the dash is mimicking?

Granted its a different pump, I put a cheaper replacement in tank pump in my 96' roughly 8 years ago, or around 100k miles, and it's still going strong. Not sure I'd bother with the more expensive option. I fill up at 1/4 tank 90% of the time, I'm sure that helps pump life.

In the brochure, it does not say. It just says "woodtone".

Wow, so clean. I really love a truck without carpeting.
I have the same problem with my front tank. Definitely will be using the cheaper $108 pumps when I get to it.

Great find, looks almost like a 4yo truck at most, apart from the afore mentioned mentioned underside rust, it looks great, and that interior... You can't get that look on a resto.

I've decided I'm going to pull the bed to do the center tank pump. I think I could drop the tank without a problem, however I'm going to take advantage of the bed being off and neutralize the rust on the frame, then film coat it and the underside of the bed. I will be driving this truck in the winters so I need to make sure it's protected.

I needed an everyday driver and couldn't afford a new truck so this was the next best thing. I like the old stuff better anyways.

You guys know of a good way to lift the bed off of the frame after its lose?

That's probably the way I'm gonna have to go. Problem is, every time I need something, I have no friends.

By the way, talking about the type of wood replicated on the dash. I think it's mahogany?

You're asking the wrong person, the only wood I'm rather familiar with is the morning kind.

I've lifted them off and carried them with just one other friend helping, so it's not terribly heavy.

Appreciate the info sir. Looks like me and another guy or two will be giving this a go.

Ive done a couple of mid 90s Chevys to get to the fuel pumps but I assumed that the mid 90s beds where a little lighter due to thinner sheet metal.

Thought about taking my 85 250 long bed off at one point for frame resto but decided against it. Everything weighed a ton on that thing.
