351W block question

Today while I was installing the AOD to my 351W short block I noticed what looks like casting damage but it might just be the way it is. Take a look at the photos and advise if that is normal or actual block damage please -



Block and AOD, are of concern is at the rear of the passenger side head area -



Any thoughts?

Good to know, guess it is just rough casting flash?

Are you talking about the area in the circle? Can you take a pic from behind? The flash has that area in the shadows. Otherwise, I don't see anything either.

Nothing abnormal here, just casting flash. Here is a pic of my 351W for comparison...
