I got lazy this morning and didn't mess with the chip.
Ya, you wouldn't think it would run at all if the chip was messed up.
Now, here is the rest of the story. I bought a boost fooler https://swampsdiesel.com/products/boost-fooler/ and I mounted it on the inside of the cab. It took 10 feet of line to do it. Worked great for 500 miles then just stopped. I don't know if that's to much hose to run or not or if the fooler stopped working on me. This morning my wife wanted to get to Salt Lake because one of our favorite camp sites fills up fast. I cut the line where it runs into the cab and put it on the IC pipe with no boost fooler and took off. Ran great!!!!! So, my map is OK, I changed tunes and everything seems to work fine. I just don't have any luck with boost foolers, this is the third one to quit unless it is to much hose. I'll try it again sometime mounted in the engine bay. I just thought it was cool to see it stop at 22psi in the cab and the other gauge of mine keep climbing. Not a professional install but just wanted to see it work. I'm a freak for gauges!

Changed the title to include AND's, LOL Here is the first and, went to leave the campsite and noticed my fuel pressure gauge was pegged. Way over 100psi so I flipped my switch off and it fell back to 55psi. Flipped it back on and pegged again. I looked for fuel leaks and didn't find any. Screw it, here we go then my brain got in the way. I'm thinking what if its over 100psi, I'll be blowing O rings. Stopped again and got out the tools to adjust the regulator and as soon as I turned the lock nut it settled back to 70psi. Weird, I turned it a quarter of a turn anyway so the pressure dropped back to 67psi and it stayed there all day. IDK, maybe a little piece of dirt?!

My money would be on the Gauge or the sensor going bad?

As far as I know the OBS map sensors don't have overboost issues like the SD ones are known for.
I ran 60 psi on my '96 for a while with nothing special done to the map.
100 psi fuel pressure isn't good for runability, a tad higher and it won't idle correctly. I can't see how that kind of pressure will affect the injector O-rings when they see 3000 from the oil side.
