I thought I would share one of my city official experiences. I had an old Ford beside my house, in the grass behind a closed gate out of view. Enforcement guy showed up, said all stored vehicles must be on concrete and covered. So I bought a tarp and 4 - 1'x1'concrete walkway stones and put one under each wheel. Covered it up and waited. The enforcement guy looked at it, and shook his head as he walked away. Well, it WAS on concrete after all.
Maybe you should get a car cover that is too small and put it on your truck, kinda like the neighbor did. Maybe even park it in the front yard, open the hood, and put a flower pot in there. A 49 Ford planter.
