Rudy's diesel up pipes
Anyone use they're private label up pipes? I was supposed to get the Dormans I ordered from them and they sent me the private label brand they carry instead!! They say they are a copy of the Dormans and carry the same warranty. And the material is the same... They told me they a made in Canada, possibly by BD diesel????

If you have a pic on your computer you click on that little yellow icon above the 'post reply' box that looks like a mountain, or maybe a post card with stamp. It will open a box and you follow the instructions, locate the picture on your hard drive and follow the instructions.

Casting looks 27.6% better than the Dorman I have on the bench. Do the bolt holes go through? Early Dormans had a problem with bolts bottoming out, the fix was to make them through holes.
One weld looks nicer than the other on the pipes, but it just needs to be gas tight not aesthetically pleasing. Ghetto steel characterization; A) rub lemon juice (or any acid) on it, if it stains it's not stainless. B) touch it with a grinding wheel, if it sparks "a lot" it's not stainless. C) don't rely on the magnet test. Lower grades of stainless like those used in auto exhausts are usually magnetic.
Got a part number?

There's no made in China stamping on the Butt.. That's the first thing I looked at when I opened the package... The Dormans says made in China, and the 679-005 part number that's how I new they were not the Dormans that I ordered
