I will try that. he should be stopping by shortly after work so i will update this thread with whatever happens.

I had a similar problem when i did my 4wd conversion. Just slowly jack up the axle on the side you want to work with first and it'll line up as the spring compresses. Hope this helps.

got it done. need to torque everything properly tomorrow, but we had to unbolt 1 end of the track bar.

bad news is...front still rubs....... but i think it's the offset of the excursion stock wheels on the front of my dually on the OEM front dually spacers. tomorrow i'm gonna throw the spare dually wheel with the same 35" tire on, and hopefully it won't rub. if it's fine which i think it will be because it'll sit more flush in the wheel well, i will just put the stock wheels back on instead of the excursion wheels.

question to those with shackles up front...do they make the ride more bouncy? i figured the ride may decrease a bit, it seems a little bouncy though around 45-50mph. might be the stock shocks are maxed out and i need taller ones?

I would get taller shocks if your stockers are getting worn. If they're not worn yet, I wouldn't really worry about it.

they're brand new OEM brand ones. i had them replaced under warranty the day after i got the truck because the bolt hole on the passenger one was wobbled out. so i told them replace both, so they're new. i didn't know if they may be too short for 2" shackles + 35s (so ~2.25ish inches taller than stock tires) so overall 4-4.5" higher, maybe causing the bouncing. but it could just be how shackles are (tall shackles at least) being that the back of the leaf is a lot more flat now than before. if its how it is, ill deal with it for the 6 months or whatever until i can afford a full lift kit, new shocks and all that goes with it. just curious to hear from others with tall lift shackles on the ride difference.
