How can i blockoff all intake coolant

my egr delete j pipe orings give me trouble and i replaced but broke a bolt, now i think that big donut oring is leaking, i was reading you can put a 3/4 freeze plug in to eliminate any coolant into the intake, where does the freeze plug go,front cover or intake and does coolant still pass thru the j pipe?

I believe that J-pipe is fed from the oil cooler. Blocking that flow would block flow through the oil cooler... not a very good idea, unless you re-route it.

so,the water coming out at the j pipe is the oil cooler return? Can i just run a hose from where the short orange hose now to maybe a heater hose as a new return for the oil cooler?

The plug goes into the front cover. You can then run the oil cooler outlet to a "T" in the heater return line. By using 5/8 or 3/4" hose you will have higher flow through the cooler. I made a fitting that came straight out of the cooler using a hydraulic fitting and run to the degas tank where I made a bulkhead type fitting to return flow, but using the heater return is easier and just as effective. You also have the slight advantage of a cooler intake manifold.
