351W Low Profile Distributor In 5.0L HO Roller..?

Greetings- buddy's computer down so will ask for him-- he has '94 carbureted 5.0L HO roller motor. Is going with 671 blower and doesn't want to add rise/spacer to blower to clear stock type distributor. His motor has 5/16" dist.-oil pump shaft.

Per him- MSD, ebay, etc. list no low-profile distributor for 5.0L, but he's found some for 351W & 351W marine use.

Question- Will one of these fit/work in 5.0L block, with 5/16" oil pump shaft?

We understand vac/springs/weights advance components to be refitted to tune. Thanks for any input here... John (for John)...

I apologize for going off half-cocked....

Got more info & sense now- turns out he has a Mallory dual-point, vac style dist., but he can't determine what model/# it is without taking it out and he's not ready to do that , yet...
He's basically trying to determine if it might be able to take one of those low-profile 'crab' caps, which he thinks will give him the low-profile/clearance he's wanting...
Until he comes up with the Mallory's #, we be on hold... sorry for causing any head scratching out there... John

351 dizzy will not fit in a 5.0 block, the oil pump driveshaft is larger in the windsor and as a result the body of the dizzy is larger.

Windsor deck height is an inch taller, distributor is one inch too tall.

Thanks for the replies. My apologies for initiating w/erroneous info.
I think best if moderator can close or even delete this thread so future searches don't waste time on my bungle job here.
Next time I'll strive to get my ducks lined up before marching... Thanks, again... John H.

sorry if I'm intruding in the thread, I was just wandering what distributors work in the windsors and have the correct wiring for a 79 f-100. I need to replace mine and can't figure out what I need to order the part under, it's a single vacuum with a 3 prong round-ish connector. any help is greatly appreciated

Get one for a late 70's Galaxie, Ford "Elite" or any other Ford/Merc full or midsize car that came with the 351W. You're looking for a Duraspark distributor for a 351W here

I'd have to check, but the body's a the same, the shaft size of the oil drive is larger on the Windsor. The Windsor block has a "wall" above and behind the distributor hole where the 302 doesn't.
