Mustang steering wheel?

Hi, i was wondering if its possible to replace the original Aerostar steering wheel with a mustang one. I have a 1992 Ford Aerostar Sport edition 3.0L engine. My steering wheel have airbag and cruise control. Although i got rid of my airbag because i don't want a 24 year old time bomb on my face every time i drive.
Anyway, would a Mustang steering wheel with cruise control fit my Aerostar? If so, what year is best? Have anybody tried it? I would really want to try a Mustang steering wheel first. If not i'm open to any other. I saw a post of someone using a Ford Expedition steering wheel and it looked cool. I dont know the year though. Cant find that post again.
I don't care about the airbag, i just want the steering wheel to fit fairly good. Then i'll do the cruise control and horn wiring.
I appreciate any help in advance

I've not tried it, but it's an intriguing idea. I would go to my local salvage yard and start swapping parts to see which ones fit.

I went today but only had 3 Mustangs and none of them had the steering wheel. Next week i'll try a different yard. I did a quick research online and many years had a similar steering wheel. I love the way they look. I'm gonna try to attach a photo...

After many trips to different junk yards i figured out how to adapt a Mustang steering wheel to my Aerostar. I noticed that the steering wheel shaft on Mustangs is different so the steering wheel wasn't gonna fit. But i discovered Ford Ranger and Explorer (1995-2001) had the same steering wheel and the shaft is identical to the Aerostar. So i got a steering wheel out of a 1999 Explorer and the airbag/horn (center part) from a Mustang. The fit was perfect! Since my clock spring was bad, i took the one from the same 99 Explorer i took the steering wheel from and fit pretty good behind the steering wheel. Harness are different though. I'm not keeping the airbag, so that harness i don't need. But i still have to figure out the wires for the cruise control and horn. My Aerostar has cruise control so it's just a matter of playing a little bit with the wires. Have to find a good cruise control wire schematic for both cars. Just wanted to share this just in case you are trying to do something similar

Final product

Very good fit on the back.

Look'n good!

Just one question, I noticed you have a manual stick on the floor, while still having the column shifter, so it is a manual or auto Aero?

Thank you! It was originally automatic but that tranny kept going bad on me and fixing it wasn't cheap. So one day 11 years ago i had enough, went to a junk yard and pulled a 5 speed tranny, pedals, stick, clutch and plate, and reservoir from a commercial version Aero. Went back home and in 2 days i had everything converted to manual transmission. Best thing i've ever done to her and no problems since
I never took the old shifter off. Not sure why, lol
