I have a 1995 F150 5.8 . It has been having starting issues. It will turn over but not start. I can hear the fuel pump engage. I changed the ignition coil and that worked for a day or two. Then I changed the ignition switch and it has been fine for the last 4 days. Now it won't start again. I need some suggestions on how to diag it instead of just replacing part. Any help would be appreciated.

(yes, there can still be codes even if the 'check engine light' is not on).

 

I need to find a way to do that. It is too old for any OBD II scanners

 

You just need a paperclip and a piece of paper to pull the codes on these trucks.

 

I had 95 it would crank all day but no start it was a plugged fuel filter.

 

When it does not start pull the SPOUT shorting bar out and see if it will start then.
Let us know what happens.

 

I used a spark tester today. I believe that it is the distributor i had spark to the distributor but not coming from it.
