Front 4x4 Hub Help

Well I took a project over halfway through the job...... I did not take apart the front hub and now am looking at a bunch of parts that I don't know exactly how they go together.

The truck is a 1995 Ford F150 4x4 5.8.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0ByG...ew?usp=sharing

These are the parts that I have that need to go together. Looks like it's a 3 bolt manual locking hub. I know where the large wire retainer goes, I know where the axle c clip goes, it also looks like the plastic piece is missing some part of it. Should this matter? I dont really know where the 2 nuts go, the washer with the holes in it, the splined washer, the regular washer and the plastic piece go and in what sequence.

I have searched YouTube and the forums here for a while and haven't found anything very similar to it, a few things that are close but not exactly the same. Any help would be much appreciated! A parts breakdown of this would be fantastic!

Thanks
Brandon

I found this diagram, which is exactly what I am looking at.

I need to reorder part number 55, any idea what this is called?

Also in the diagram, 67, 68 and 69 are all washers but which one is which?

It looks like 55 and 56 are seals? I'm not familiar with the dana 44, but I believe they are similar. I got nothing on the washers, sorry I'm not much help.

The two round nuts (#66 & # 63) with the 4 cutouts are for the wheel bearings. There is a washer (# 62) that goes with them to lock the inner wheelbearing nut in place. The inner nut has a pin that faces away from the bearing for the lock washer to fit on. The lockwasher has a tang that fits in the slot of the spindle. That should get your hub and wheelbearings set.
I haven't reinstalled any of the automatic hubs to know all of the other parts and in what order that they are reassembled.

This will give you the information to do anything if you take your time and read through it. The washer(lock nut) with the nub is installed after the outer wheel bearing to set end play then the lock washer (with tabs and holes) is installed to lock the first washer in place. The last washer(lock nut) is installed to hold the lock washer tight. Be sure to follow the torque procedure in the manual. Then the hub is installed.

I know that you have a 3 bolt autolocking hub but maybe this might help?

This might help you as well. It's from the '96 service manual, but I believe it's the same as the '95:

45 is the roller bearing between the spindle and the axle shaft. It doesn't come out in a typical front wheel bearing servicing. You need to take the spindles off to get it out. It only turns when you are in 4WD (or the hubs are locked) so it doesn't tend to go bad very quickly. Unless you have a reason to replace it I wouldn't worry.

55 looks like it's a sheetmetal part that goes around the inner seal. The parts you have in your first picture just show from the spindle nuts out to the locking hubs. You won't see 55 unless you also pull the wheel hubs and bearings off.

He's got a 3 bolt MANUAL hub. Entirely different from the auto hub shown in the video.
