Mine will making a trip from Michigan to Daytona Beach in nine days. 6 or 7 people and stuff.
I have a very persistent chipmunk trying to nest in front of my air filter, so I ordered a new air filter and I will replace the morning of the trip, but I cannot find a way to deter this critter.
I need to develop some sort of mesh screen in front of the air box intake.

I recommend a .177 pellet it's the best deterrent

There are some writeups in the tech folders- it can be as easy as cutting away some of the header behind the lights with a dremel tool (that's what I did) Or change the header ($100 bucks and a few bolts).
Then get a bulb change harness ($25-60) or just change the bulb plug end.
Took about 3 hours to do mine, along with a newer style grille change.

I took a trip up to Rochester NY (live in Spring Lake NJ) back in february and halfway through the trip I remembered why these trucks are the S**t haha so smooth on the highway and fuel mileage is crazy good (800 mile round trip and didn't have to stop to fill up!!!!)
I'm heading down to Charlotte SC in late April for a wedding with my pregnant wife, 10 month old son, mother-in-law and one gsd. On the list of things to do to the EX is oil and filters change, gauges (EGT, boost, transmission temp, and oil temp), and a 4 inch straight pipe turbo back exhaust from mbrp, just don't tell the wife hahahaha

The best rodent remover is a empty 5 gallon bucket . Put 6 inches of water in it then wipe peanut butter about 3 inches above the water level . put a board from the ground to top of bucket - the critters will jump right in for a final swim ! If you don`t have any chance of pets or kids getting at the bucket add a little antifreeze . That keeps any smell down if you can`t check trap every day .

Who's gonna win?
I'll light it on fire, or be buried in it.
