I need to develop some sort of mesh screen in front of the air box intake.

I recommend a .177 pellet it's the best deterrent

Took about 3 hours to do mine, along with a newer style grille change.
Where can you get the header? Google has failed me. I'm not comfortable cutting it with all the salt used here messing with the finish would have it rusted through in no time. I spend enough time keeping the accessible parts oil sprayed.

The header panel you would be cutting is made of fiberglass, so no rusting to worry about.

eBay is full of header panel for 05~07 trucks that you can use.

I took a trip up to Rochester NY (live in Spring Lake NJ) back in february and halfway through the trip I remembered why these trucks are the S**t haha so smooth on the highway and fuel mileage is crazy good (800 mile round trip and didn't have to stop to fill up!!!!)

I'm heading down to Charlotte SC in late April for a wedding with my pregnant wife, 10 month old son, mother-in-law and one gsd. On the list of things to do to the EX is oil and filters change, gauges (EGT, boost, transmission temp, and oil temp), and a 4 inch straight pipe turbo back exhaust from mbrp, just don't tell the wife hahahaha

The best rodent remover is a empty 5 gallon bucket . Put 6 inches of water in it then wipe peanut butter about 3 inches above the water level . put a board from the ground to top of bucket - the critters will jump right in for a final swim ! If you don`t have any chance of pets or kids getting at the bucket add a little antifreeze . That keeps any smell down if you can`t check trap every day .

Another happy 6.0 owner. 12 years/200k of beating this thing into the pavement, and it still wants more. Damn thing takes me where I want to go.

Who's gonna win?

I'll light it on fire, or be buried in it.
