Lifted 1994 F-150

I am building a lifted 1994 Ford F150 4wd automatic (6" suspension& 3" body or 8" suspension) in memory of my father in law since his brother sold his without asking my wife. I will be running between 35-37" tires. I am replacing the stock 302 Windsor with a Built 408 Stroker. What would be the best transmission and gear set up for these tires. Motor will be putting out 500HP (no nitrous, just built motor). This truck will be driven about 500 miles a month, used on and some off-road and will occasionally pull an enclosed trailer. Also is there a kit to completely replace everything under the hood? All wires and accesories? All help will be appreciated. Current motor has 318,000 miles. I bought the truck for $3500 so I dont mind spending a little money, but hoping to keep the engine and transmission under $10k all help is appreciated. Email or txt 919-824-7072.

For 35'' inch tire I would go 4.56's...for 37''s 4.88's

maybe a built c6?

might as well plan on swapping bigger axles in if your gonna have 500 horse.

the dana 44 and 8.8 probably won't last long

Hot damn man you've got some amamzing plans for your truck! I hope to do something similar to mine one day. Gotta love the ease of major upgrades like this on older trucks compared to new ones! I wish you luck

Im aware the F250 has them, however that is a bigger axle and the frame is larger, so im thinking the bolt holes would not line up.

I think you need to spend a little less time posting and a lot more time searching. It's almost difficult to begin to answer your questions regarding a dana 60.

Where to buy one? Well, how big is your budget? You can buy a built 60, ready to go with your exact specifications/suspension mount requirements for several thousand dollars. Or you can find a used one from a private seller on practically any forum, especially 4x4 and off-road forums. And then there's Craigslist or your nearest salvage yard.

There's a reason that *some* trucks can bolt up a Dana 60 without much effort. Those trucks were designed with similar suspensions. Your 94... not so much. So again, how much do you want to spend? Broncoair has a nice Dana 60 bolt on kit, but it comes with a nice price as well, and that does not include the axle.

So again, more searching, and you'll find more than you ever want to know about swapping in a Dana 60.

I plan to spend alot of money. I do not believe in doing a "cheap" or "half ***" job. I want it done right the first time, so I dont have to spend more $$$ later down the road. Thanks for the tip

That's great, but you need to have a plan on how to best spend the money, so that you don't end up like you say, having to spend more later down the road.

That's why I suggest searching and figuring out what exactly you want to do, and then figure out exactly how to do it. And if you can't figure out exactly how to do it, those are the questions you ask. Right now it's too difficult to point you in any direction due to being too vague.
