Leveling am F250
I have read various posts about putting in a lift kit to level their truck. My F250 is level so why would a lift kit be needed to level it? or maybe i am misunderstanding something. I think i read about some people putting a 4" lift to level their truck. Can someone explain this?

Most SD's come from the factory with a "lean" to the front, ie, the rear sits higher than the front. This is due to the blocks under the rear springs. It's done intentionally by Ford so that the trucks sits level when loaded and doesn't "squat". This lean gets exaggerated over time because the front springs tend to sag, especially under the weight of the PSD.
A lot of guys install a "levelling kit" to level raise the front suspension (only) in order to level the truck. For more info on levelling kits, check the FAQ thread at the top of the page.
It's unlikely you have an aftermarket levelling kit installed, but not impossible. Compare your front springs and shackles to a stock SD for quick check. Most likely, you have the heavy front springs, (X code) that came with the plow package or heavy service package. These springs have a high rate and tend to sag less, causing the truck to sit pretty level, especially in an F250, where the rear block is only 2" high.
Hope that answers the question, the FAQ thread has more info.

Yeah, it will likely sag a little, I know mine did with the V10. It was dang near level when I drove it off the lot, it's got a pretty good sag to it now.
The combination of a light engine (relatively) and the 2" blocks in the rear would for sure make your truck sit pretty level.
