One of the sensors has gone bad. Have someone put it in reverse without engine running, with brake applied and listen to each sensor. They each emit a "ticking" sound when working correctly. Just had the same issue with mine and had to replace a sensor.
I have had mine get stuck on before. I wiped the dirt of of the sensors and all was well. The exhaust steam when starting Stan on the colder mornings sometimes sets the reverse sensor off too.
I have this problem in the rain and snow sometimes. As mentioned above, a quick wipe of each sensor will usually clear it up. If not, you can use a Bluetooth obdII dongle and the forescan app to check the module, it'll give you a code for the sensor that is not working.
