Power Slider help

My 1997 F250 has a CRL Power Slider. The motor is missing, so I was planning to replace it. When I looked over the track and to see how the rear window slides, I noticed that it has a lot of resistance. I'm only able to slide the window (manually) about 3". Im thinking of maybe replacing the entire rear CRL slider. Its about $440 for a new one. Motor is not cheap either. If I were to only replace that its about $200. Has anyone ever removed their rear slider? Is it difficult to do and do you have any pointers for me? Thanks!

Well, an aftermarket window like yours will be anyone's guess, but the factory rear windows are held in with a rubber gasket. Remove the interior trim, a little soap and some careful prybar use and you are golden!

It helps to have a second pair of hands on the outside while replacing.

I use braided cord to pull, and hand cleaner as lube when installing.
