48 F1 Jeepers Creepers
This is my 1948 F1 that has a 52 cab. it has been a year and a half long process to this point, but thanks to all these threads and other builds on this site it is slowly becoming closer to reality. Original 59AB flathead being restored currently and all other work being done by myself with little help from friends and family. Any comments or help is greatly appreciated!

All the sheet metal is gonna be left alone fore now, I have no plans to fix any of it whatsoever. Im gonna expose the door logos a little more and keep them original as possible FortyNiner. Our local speed shop has done all the rest work, they have bored it .080 over crank is .030 it has a 1/4 race cam in it done by Schneider, Isky adjustable lifters all stainless valves, to say all this was expensive is an understatement, but i wanted to stay original and true to the truck and I love the sound of a Flathead.

The VIN is exposed in this pic, on the left frame rail in front of your suspension hat. Since it starts with 87HY, that chassis originally housed a flat 6 engine. There's a tag on your firewall that may have a matching number. I would be suspicious of any claims the 59A engine was original to the truck. The 8BA engine was used in US production trucks in '48.
Either way, you've got a very cool project going.

We actually have it supported from the front mounts as well, these pics were taken right before we made brackets. I also just made a new stand to roll around shop that supports from front brackets and just in front of bell housing so we can reattach tranny today. We were just waiting on the clutch release bearing to come in today. Also good to know about the vin info on the V6 vs V8, I know for a fact firewall has different vin as it is a 52 cab on a 48 chassis, for some reason or another they swapped them out my best guess it 52 cab was slightly bigger?
