1994 Explorer 4.0 Dies At Speed

Hey guys, hoping to lean on the Explorer geniuses for this one. Working on a friend's Explorer. The car idles fine, but once he starts driving and gets to about 35 mph, second or third gear, the car loses power and eventually dies. MAF sensor replaced, no change.

Apologies for the lack of info, I'm not actually near the vehicle.

Sounds like starving for fuel maybe ???? fuel filters, fuel pump, bad fuel ?

Without codes, it's hard to tell...
go by an autozone, etc... and they will read the codes for free. then do a google search for the ford code.

good luck!

That's what he suggested, but if fuel was the problem, wouldn't it be happening at a specific RPM range (and thus a specific fuel draw) rather than a specific speed in different gears? And yes, I advised him to check codes already. We'll see what he comes up with.
