Question I-beam comparison

Can anyone here tell me if a 1977 Econoline E-150 I-beam axles and radius rods are the same as F-150 axles and radius rods. I am trying to convert my 71 F-100 to disc brake. They say if you take the parts off of a 73-79 F-150 it will fit. I have found a guy with a E-150 front end with a lot of new parts but I am not sure if they are the same. Thanks !

These trucks don't use radius rods... they have radius arms.

...And I recall Econolines are front steer.

Excuse my terminology RADIUS ARMS !
What is front steer! The parts look almost identical except it has a
Sway bar.

There is such a thing as radius rods (AKA strut rods).. like on 65-68 Mustangs, Pintos, and other vehicles of the era.

I wanna say Econolines have a wider frame and commensurate different I-beams. I used an Econoline bumper for my Dent and had to redill the holes. Whip out the measuring tape. I think if Econolines were potential donors of the parts you seek someone would have already noted it in here and on the other forum and website for the 67-72s. No indication based on my seven years here that it has been done. I say it's a safer bet to stick with a compatible F-series donor.

"Front Steer".. the steering box is in front of the axle centerline along with the linkages... the Econoline spindle's steering arms aslo point forward.
