1950 ford f3 226 flathead H inline 6 exhaust manifold question

Hi everybody,

I have a 1950 ford f3 truck with the original 226 inline 6 motor. the exhaust manifold is quite pitted/repaired sloppy on the flange... I would like to replace it (I can have it sent out/repaired, but rather find a replacement).

Does anyone know if a 1946 226 flathead inline 6 would bolt up to my 1950 motor???

Just wondering of these years are compatible in terms of exhaust manifolds...

Thanks for the advice! I really appreciate it. I'm hoping to simple replace the manifold.

The earlier 1941 to 1947 “G” series flathead six exhaust manifold is different and won’t fit on a later “H’ series flathead.
I do have a good H series manifold that I probably will not be using if you can’t find one close by.

I would like to add my name to the end of the list for the manifold if the OP is not interested.

You bet. Glad you found one.

Ive had 2 private messages and 51Fred above asking for the manifold if its available. Who knew. Fred your second in line if the first person that sent me a message backs out.
Guess ill keep an eye out for another one or two manifolds. Too bad they are so prone to cracks and breakage.

Yeah I've been finding that the intake manifolds seem to be pretty perfect on these years BUT the exhaust manifolds are quite pitted and many cracked... It was very hard to find on eBay, Craigslist, etc... Even calling salvage yards across the country with no luck.

Very thankful for this forum though! There is a lot of resources here and best of all there are incredibly knowledgeable people that share the same enthusiasm! Thanks everyone!

Fred. Your in Luck. First person who asked for the manifold ended up finding a complete engine just across town.

Anyway
Send me a pm and we can discuss further.
I dont care to attempt seperating the intake from exhaust so prefer to send it complete.

Thanks
Josh
