body tag 1950 Merc M-68

Hey guys!

I know it is hard to decode the body tags on truck firewalls, but maybe you know more.
The truck I have is a 1950 Mercury M-68, VIN is PF83H50-33248.

The body tag reads:

STYLE

BODY NO.
JDC50-1686
25093

Let me know!

Thank you!

There's not a lot to learn that you don't already know. Your serial number breaks down as follows...

PF - Mercury M68
83 - Pickup bodystyle
H - Assembly plant Home Office, Windsor
50 - 1950 model year
33248 - is the consecutive unit number

The corner tag has a lot of mystery to it. Some numbers can be assumed to mean things like 50 is 1950 model year, because most trucks that have that number there is the year of the truck. Everything else is pure conjecture. There's no known information from FoMoCo to decipher any of it with any accuracy.
