3in wide rear springs

The highboys last year was 77.. You can look at the steering and tell pretty quickly, as the conglomeration on a high boy has a hydraulic ram and yours should have the normal pump and sector.

Keep a fire extinguisher handy till things get buttoned up. Carb needs a rebuild. Replace fuel pump and blow out fuel line with compressed air, replace rubber fuel hose, etc. That'll get things squared up.

That is a married transmission and transfer case that came in lowboys. If it is truly a 78 frame it is a lowboy.

Like others mentions, if it has the ram assist steering it is a high boy. If it has a normal modern style power steering pump it is a lowboy.

Looks like a later model pump and there is an integral box. The pulley angle on the pump looks off though.

That is a modern style steering system which points towards it being a lowboy. Add on all the other things that point towards a lowboy it should indeed be a lowboy.

If it runs out the top (bowl vent) it is probably a stuck float. Try tapping the side of the bowl with a screwdriver handle and see if that cures it. If not carb has to come apart

I second this. Something is not right with the float and needle and seat not stopping fuel from over filling the bowl and coming out the vent tube.

Did you happen to turn the carb upside down after rebuilding it . That can mess up the float by doing it.Shake it a little then install and try again might fix it .
