Bench to Bucket seat swap??

Ok so I want to swap seats in my truck. I have a 1989 F350 RCLB. I want to know what are the best seats out of other ford vehicles. The 40/20/40 seats from the obs trucks are out of question. I will never find them in the junk yard and I will not pay more then 100 for the set. I'm ok with drilling holes in the floor of my truck. I was told I can use seats from a explorer but I don't know what years.

Other people seem to find 40/20/40 seats OK, so that would still be my first suggestion.

The problem with drilling holes in the floor isn't drilling them, it's getting a seat base that fits with the contours of the floor, and then getting the floor reinforced enough where you need to drill. Your best bet might be getting a seat pan for a regular cab or crew cab and then figuring out what seats to mount to the pan.

what are you expecting if you won't pay more than 100 for a 40/20/40 set?

just stick any Fseries reg or crewcab cloth bench in there up to 96 (97F250HD>F450)
can usually find them in the $100 range.

Saw an OBS Eddie Bauer standard cab with 90s explorer limited seats and console at a car show. If I didn't know what they came out of, I would have thought they were factory.
